Our aim is the creation of a new social order, a society in which the commanding value is the infinite preciousness and free and full actualization of every person.
What We Stand For
From the SPUSA Statement of Principles...The Socialist Party USA strives to establish a radical democracy that places people's lives under their own control -- a classless, feminist, socialist society free of racism, sexism, homophobia or transphobia, in which people cooperate at work, at home, and in the community.
Socialism is not mere government ownership, a welfare state, or a repressive bureaucracy. Socialism is a new social and economic order in which workers and consumers control production and community residents control their neighborhoods, homes, and schools. The production of society is used for the benefit of all humanity, not for the private profit of a few. Socialism produces a constantly renewed future by not plundering the resources of the earth. A Statement on May Day 2025

On May Day 2025, the Socialist Party hopes that all Americans will realize that working people have truly only themselves to rely on during the second Trump administration, and we urge all working, poor, and vulnerable people to join, support, and vote Socialist as the only viable alternative to the current state of capitalist rule in the United States.
In Donald Trump's first 100 days, he and his sycophants have shown increasing cruelty to working people, immigrants, and anyone that slightly violates his racist, imperialist fantasy vision of a true American. full statement here
