Our aim is the creation of a new social order, a society in which the commanding value is the infinite preciousness and free and full actualization of every person.
What We Stand For
From the SPUSA Statement of Principles...The Socialist Party USA strives to establish a radical democracy that places people's lives under their own control -- a classless, feminist, socialist society free of racism, sexism, homophobia or transphobia, in which people cooperate at work, at home, and in the community.
Socialism is not mere government ownership, a welfare state, or a repressive bureaucracy. Socialism is a new social and economic order in which workers and consumers control production and community residents control their neighborhoods, homes, and schools. The production of society is used for the benefit of all humanity, not for the private profit of a few. Socialism produces a constantly renewed future by not plundering the resources of the earth. Trump is Fighting Two Wars: One Against Iran, One Against the U.S. Working Class
This weekend Donald Trump – despite his history of unorthodox, unprecedented actions as President – followed in the footsteps of every American President of the last two decades and unilaterally bombed another nation with no declaration of war by Congress.
At the same time, Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill" comes up for a vote in the U.S. Senate. This bill reaches far beyond a budget bill and would make hidden but sweeping changes to all aspects of American government, such as stripping federal courts' authority to hold Trump's administration in contempt, as one example. full statement here
